System Requirements
To ensure a smooth installation and reliable performance, please make sure your PC meets the following before purchasing:
- Operating System: Windows 10 (version 21H2 or later) or Windows 11
- Processor: 64-bit, quad-core, 2018 or newer recommended
- RAM: 8 GB minimum, 16 GB recommended
- Storage: SSD recommended — 10 GB free disk space required
- .NET Framework: 4.8.1 or later (the installer will prompt you if this needs to be added)
Note: This software installs a local SQL Server Express database during setup. Older or lower-powered PCs (especially those with mechanical hard drives or less than 8 GB RAM) may experience longer install times or setup errors. If your PC is more than 6–7 years old, we recommend checking your specs against the list above before purchasing.
IMPORTANT – WINDOWS SECURITY MESSAGE
When you download HouseHold Inventory 2026, Microsoft Windows may display a security warning because the installer is newly published.If you see:
“Windows protected your PC”
Follow these steps:
Right after you click Download and Install a window will appear in the upper right corner of the web browser showing “HouseHoldInventorySetup.exe isn’t commonly downloaded. Make sure you trust this site before you open it.” There are three dots … next to this statement. Click on the three dots and click Keep and a window will appear where you will click the down arrow next to the word delete and click on Keep anyway and the file will be saved to your download folder.
Either click Open file on the download HouseHoldInventorySetup.exe or go to your download folder and double click the HouseHoldInventorySetup.exe to install the program. A blue popup box may appear because Microsoft has not certified this web site to be safe. After enough accesses to the website the safety screen will not appear. See images below. In the meantime:
Click “More Info”
Click “Run Anyway”
Click “Yes” if Windows asks for permission to make changes.
Follow the installation prompts.
This warning is normal and does not indicate a virus or malware. HouseHold Inventory 2026 is developed and distributed by C. E. Moyer Enterprises. Installation will automatically install:
• HouseHold Inventory 2026
• Microsoft SQL Server Express
• Your Household Inventory database
Please allow the installation to complete before launching the program.
